ice cave

This is us spelunking in an ice cave just outside of Qaanaaq (yes that's a palindrome) in northwestern Greenland. We were searching for any reviveable pteradons. I (Connor) am a big fan. And no, we didn't find any.

not fake

This is not just some game. And this stick is no ordinary backscratcher. And these hands are not just ordinary chopstick twirlers. This is not fake. This is no music video. This my friends is life and death. Do not be fooled by my five and a half year old body into thinking that you can stand in the presence of a master. You will lose that bet. And not even get a fortune cookie.

narrow escape

Gigi and Papa were taking this picture but then they totally froze. What we didn't realize was that there was this giant cowboy about to get us. We kept asking, "What's wrong? What's wrong?" Then we heard screaming behind us. Mommy and Daddy didn't know what to do so I (Connor) grabbed Grace, and Graham slapped Daddy on the head with the light saber that he won at the fishing pond arcade to get his attention. Just when the cowboy's hand was about to reach out and grab us (see photo), we boot-scootin' boogied out of there just as fast as a cat in a room full of rockin' chairs.

true texan

My name may be Grace, but they call me Deadeye. And my horse's name is Buckshot. Don't mess with Texas. And don't mess with me. I once shot a babysitter dead 'cause she put my diaper on backwards. I once hog-tied my own daddy 'cause he didn't put enough chocolate sauce on my ice cream. I don't mess around. But I do make a mess.

kee-kat

i like kee-kats. We had a fun time in Arkansas with friends this summer. Daddy went to work. And we played with kee-kats. The kee-kats help keep the snakes away. Our friends' pawpaw shot a big rattler while we were there.

i can pray

I like to lead my family in prayer. I've adapted the traditional, "Thank You Father," for the active, fast-paced American lifestyle, by cutting out some of the lines, yet adding a true sense of finality. See what you think:

get smart

Untitled from jacq scott on Vimeo.
This is an actual quality assurance test video for the real cone of silence.

how much fun can you have on a sofa?

this much.

bucketloads

So many colors... so little toothpaste...

auto-matic

This will sound weird... but when we got into the vehicle, these unnaturally all-engrossing smiles crept upon our faces--as if it were something emanating from the car itself...

pickin'

You can pick your friends and you can pick you nose... but you can't wipe your friends on the couch. This is me, Graham, just a-pickin' and a-grinnin'.

US Open

If you think we're good at golf, you should see us mining for gophers.

spider-boy

In Texas we have really big spiders that float in the lake. The only way to get 'em is like this...

life of piracy

After a season of buccaneering, swashbuckling and swabbing the decks, even pirates need a day off. This is where we like to kick back and rest. The life of piracy has its rewards.

piracy

Since becoming a pirate, I have been shot at, attacked by sea monsters, nearly drowned, and have gotten a pirate's tan. Avoid it if you can. The worst part is this plastic earring.

not happy

Pirates are not happy people. See. They complain a lot. They steal stuff. They don't do anything. That's why they so rarely get dessert.

be very afraid...

My name is Grace. I am a rusty mean old pirate. So don't mess with me and my pirate ship.
